This happened to me alot, too, when I was first divorced back in 2005. I was so naive I didn't even realize what the men were hinting at initially. I didn't respond for the most part (unless I did so ignorantly and unintentionally by being friendly), so they went away. But it was a creepy time.

Now I'm older and grumpier and don't get hit on anymore. Not sure if that's a great place to be in either, ego wise, but safety wise its definitely an improvement.
