I actually used to prefer coffee dates because I don’t want to spend more than half an hour. If I know it won’t work with someone. I never thought of it as being cheap. I thought of it as let’s see if we were attracted to each other and then we can plan the next one as a dinner. As a female, I had an equal interest in not wasting too much time with someone if I could tell within the first 10 minutes it wasn’t going anywhere. It’s funny how the emphasis is on cheap whereas for me, the emphasis was on time.
